Mr Mulligans
Teen/Youth Event
On Sunday 27th October DDCS youth trustee, Maddie, and youth volunteer, Yazz, hosted their first teen/youth event! And what a success it was! They had a group of 10 young people who came along to Mr Mulligans in Bournemouth for a round of indoor golf and some delicious food. They split into two groups and went around the first half of the golf course, getting to know one another (for those who haven’t met before) and they heard lots about other teen’s experiences of being deaf. They then had some lovely pizza, fries and soft drinks to refuel before going to play the second half of the 18 holes, which was pirate themed! After this, team scores were added up and Team 2 won, but only by 4 points! They then grabbed a pot of ice cream from the many flavours and said their goodbyes. It was lovely to meet with a group of teens of their own age that experience similar challenges to themselves! Here’s to some more teen and young people events!
