Youth Ice Skating
On Saturday 21st of February, a group of fourteen deaf teenagers, friends and family turned up to have a go at some ice skating down at the BIC in Bournemouth!
Once we had geared ourselves up and put our skates on, we headed to the ice to enjoy an hour of skating (or, in Maddy's case, clinging to the side!) Everyone did so well and it was lovely to watch our teens become more confident as our time on the ice went on. A few parents sat on the benches and enjoyed watching friendships grow between our deaf teens.
By the end of the hour, we were all very tired, with some of us needing to wake ourselves up with slushies and coffees! It was overall a lovely event in which everyone enjoyed themselves, and it was so lovely to see our numbers at teen events grow! Watch this space for more updates on future events!
