Thorpe Park 2015

On Sunday 19th July forty four teenagers and young people set out by coach to visit Thorpe Park.  Following on from the visit to Paultons Park, which catered for our families, this event was for the teenagers and young people without parents.  So DDCS trustees bravely took on the task of accompanying them.

Thorpe Park can get extremely busy and a lot of time can be spent in queues but we were very lucky as it was not too busy and the queues were no longer than 20-30 minutes for the more popular rides. This meant everyone was able to get on all the rides they wanted and sometimes more than once! The thrill rides of Stealth, The Swarm, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and Saw were most popular.

It was great to see them all making new friends and where as they were quiet at the start of the day with new found confidence they were not so quiet as the day progressed. All went home exhausted with a few asleep on the return coach ride!
