Marwell Activity Centre 2013

We made a return visit to the highly popular venue of Marwell Activity Centre on Sunday 26th May.

DDCS is not organising the PGL residential weekend this year so to give our members some high adrenaline action we opted for air rifle shooting, aerial adventure courses, assault courses, quad bikes, go carts and more.

Forty five children and young adults from 26 families came along with their parents and carers and we had gorgeous sunshine all day! The age range of those taking part was from 9 months old to 24 years old!

Our 4-7 year olds started on the assault course mid morning then after lunch went on the zip wire and finished off with go carts in the barn. The 8 - 15 year olds were in two groups and had a go at quad biking, air rifles and were high in the trees on an aerial adventure course. The 16 years + group got a go at off road adult quads, aerial adventure and paintballing and the under four year olds were able to play in the soft play barn. So there was something for everyone.

While all this was going on the parents were either watching the activities, taking photos or having a chat and a coffee in the lovely sunshine. Everyone bought a picnic or popped into the cafe for lunch and the kids made the most of the play park after eating. There were some tired heads going home in the car at the end of the day - good job it was a bank holiday Monday the next day!
