Christmas Party 2013
Once again DDCS members descended on St Marks Church Hall, Bournemouth for our annual Christmas party on Saturday 7th December. The party was held slightly later than in previous years because the hall was already booked for our usual weekend. This meant numbers were lower than last year as many members already had commitments on this date. But, regardless, 135 members came along to enjoy the afternoon!
First up was the family friendly quiz which entailed looking around the hall for the answers. This year the children could also get their faces painted, thank you to Joanna (parent of Lily) for providing the children with some great seasonal face painting! Next the food was served, thanks to all who helped to put the sumptuous finger buffet together. Then Dr Balloonman came along to entertain the children.
Then it was time for a special visit from a very special person - Santa, who arrived with his helpful elves to deliver presents to the children.
NDCS Christmas cards were also on sale and all the families were able to mix and chat to each other. The party only happens because of the team work of all the trustees, their families, friends and DDCS members so a big thank you to you all.
The children had a great time!
