Christmas Party 2008

Our 2008 Christmas party will take place on Saturday 29th November from 2pm until 4.30pm

This year we have moved the party to St Marks Church Hall,Wallisdown Road, Talbot Village, Bournemouth. BH10 4HY to give us a larger venue.

To reserve your places please telephone either Shirley on 01202 571089 or Martin on 01305 260351 (evenings) and tell us how many adults and children are coming. We need your booking before Monday 17th November please.

We will have buffet food and drinks, a childrens entertainer, a raffle and presents for the children.

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2007

Our 2007 Christmas Party took place once again at Bournemouth Deaf Club, Morley Road, Pokesdown, Bournemouth on Saturday 1st December. Start time was 3.30pm. We welcomed our guests with a hot cup of tea or cofffee for the parents (most welcome on a wet dark afternoon) and the children had squash.

We had a wonderful buffet laid out on the snooker table (prepared during the morning by the committee members) to start the party off with and when everybody had eaten their fill we went upstairs for a an hour of puppetry,conjouring and musical entertainment from local childrens entertainers Bubble and Squeak.  The performance was signed for  us by Emma Sanders - many thanks once again to Emma for this.

After the entertainment we went back downstairs for our Christmas Raffle and then  I heard noises on the roof and Father Christmas parked up his sleigh and after the children had made several feeble attempts at shouting his name they eventually managed to scream loud enough for Father Christmas to appear and hand out presents to all the children before he left to dash away to his next party.
